Bonnik Berthelsen Interview. WAO 2024 Judge and FCI Agility Delegate
Bonnik has been involved in Agility since 1989. In 1991 he became an agility instructor, and started as an instructor in The Danich Dog school, which consisted of 3 dog schools in Zealand. Bonnik has represented Denmark as a handler since 1992 on many occasions including a spell as Danish Team manager. In 2000 Bonnik started judging and his career and reputation grew judging throughout Europe and he now believes he has judged in almost all countries in Europe. In 2021 he became Denmark's delegate in the FCI Agility Council, a member of the Danish agility committee, the Danish representative in the Nordic Kennel Club agility committee and became responsible for judges training in Denmark.
In 2023 he was part of the organization for the European Open in Denmark and is currently working as an organizer and responsible for the Nordic Championship 2024. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, we discuss his thoughts on course design in general and specific to himself which gives a nice Insight to one of this years WAO judges. We also discuss some of the various rules within FCI relating to jump heights and distances on course.
